Kingston is also known as Kingston upon the Thames. It is ten miles south-west of Charing Cross and twelve miles outside the central London, in the southwest London. It is recognized as a leading metropolitan centre in the London Plan and is the administrative centre of the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon the River Thames. It is 33 feet above sea level. The River Thames runs alongside Kingston connecting it to central London. Kingston has many architectures of Victorian time that fascinates the tourists.

Kingston does not have direct local tube connection, but Norbiton and Hampton wick stations serve overground from Kingston which roughly takes 25 minutes to reach Waterloo. 40 bus routes including 8-night buses serve it, but if you are travelling by car, then don’t worry, there are plenty of parking available.

Kingston offers you plenty of options for food and shopping.  The Bentall Centre, Old London road, the Ancient market, and Eden Walk are Kingston’s most famous shopping spots. Rose Theatre is the home to comedy plays whereas the “Out of Order” is an art installation by David Mach. Kingston is also well known for International Youth Art Festivals.
