Mitcham is a district of South London located in the London Borough of Merton, centred 7.2 miles south-west of Charing Cross. It is an urban density area, but also it is mainly a suburb of houses with gardens. The district is close to the cut-off of Outer London and Inner London.

Mitcham is both financially and residentially developed area: buses, trains and tram routes serving the Mitcham district. Mitcham district has an excellent facility for transportation through rails and buses.

There are two railway stations in the district, one is Mitcham Junction and the second one is Mitcham Eastfields. Mitcham Eastfields was the first local station to be constructed in 50 years in the area.

Both of the stations served through the Thameslink brands and Govia Thameslink Railway’s Southern. These trains run to Epson, Sutton, London Victoria, St Albans, and London Bridge. Passengers on the Thameslink track from Central London go through the Sutton Loop Line to Sutton.
