Banstead is a suburban village/town in the borough of Banstead and Reigate in Surrey, England. Banstead is 5 miles, west of Croydon, 2.5 miles, south of Sutton, and 7.5 miles south-east of Kingston-upon-Thames as well as 13.3 miles south of Central London.
The county borough, Guildford is 17 miles west south-west.
On the North Downs, Banstead town is on three of the four main compass points isolated from other towns through open area buffers with Metropolitan Green Belt status.
