Chessington

Chessington is a region within Greater London. It is located in the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames. Historically it is part of Surrey. According to the 2011 Census, it had a population of 18,973. The Bonesgate Stream is a tributary of the Hogsmill River, flows through it.

The famous theme park resort Chessington World of Adventures is the centre point of Chessington. It is located in the south-west of the region.

This area has the Neighbouring towns include the Tolworth, Surbiton, Ewell, and Claygate.

Transportation

Chessington is served by several buses and rails. They connect it to central London as well as other cities. Chessington has two railway stations. One is Chessington North, and the other one is Chessington South. They are half a mile distant with South Western Railway services. These run in every half-hour to London Waterloo. Chessington South is the head of the line.

A lot of regular bus services serves the Chessington region. Such as routes 71, 465, 467, local routes K2, K4 and night route is 65. The 671 route is also serving for the school service.

Twickenham Stadium is the hometown of England Rugby. The stadium is the biggest dedicated rugby union venue in the world.

The Brooklands Museum is an excellent place with a family day out. It contains so much history about motoring and the excellent racing track.
