Cobham is a village located in the Borough of Elmbridge in Surrey County, England. This village is centred 17 miles south-west of London and on the other side, it is 10 miles northeast of Guildford on the River Mole. It has a services/commercial High Street and has good primary as well as private schools.
Cobham village has two wards. One is Cobham Fairmile ward, which has a population of 4,760. It is adjacent to Cobham. The second one is the Downside, which has a population of 6,158. At the centre of Cobham, there is a Church Cobham Conservation Area. It designated in 1973 and comprises fourteen statutory listed building.
This village has good links with different areas including Central London. To the west, and north of the town, there is the A3 trunk road. It is a major route from London to Portsmouth. At Junction 10 this road connects to the motorway (M25).
This village has Cobham & Stoke d’Abernon railway station is on the southwest of Cobham. It was open in 1885. This station is on the New Guildford line and connects to London Waterloo.
The Cobham is a very beautiful village in Surrey. There are various places in the Cobham village where you can visit and enjoy. Like Campaign Paintball & Laser Park, Everyman Cinema, Cobham Bowling Club, Mr Mulligan’s Pirate Golf, Clue HQ Kingston, Safari Adventure Golf. As well as the Light Cinema, St Andrews Church, Cobham Recreation Ground, Polesden Lacey, Hatchlands Park NT.
St Andrews Church is set in the middle of Cobham and is worth a visit to either find some tranquility and peace or to learn a little more about the local areas. The churchyard is well maintained and worth a look round.
