How did I start the LSC Light Hire London

My name is Jason Beckett, and I am the owner/operator of LSC Sound & Light & Events, I have been in the entertainment industry for over twenty-nine years, since nineteen eighty-nine I started my career in this industry by becoming a DJ, The rave scene had taken the country by storm and I had already dreamt of being a DJ watching rap groups like RUN DMC and Public Enemy and watching there DJ’s playing a big part in the group.

So, after saving hard, I managed to get my first set of turntables and a mixer, I practised every day and learnt how to mix, the next stage was to get some experience.

I was not going to get any club work straight off, so a house party was the first chance I had to play out, I had the decks but no lighting, so had to get out the yellow pages and look for disco light hire London, glad to say I found a place but this gave me a little idea for the future.

Glad to say my DJ career did take off and as well as playing at clubs I also did start doing Mobile discos so I could get more of an understanding of disco effect lighting, as from that first day of hiring lighting I knew one day this was also something I would like to do.

It did take a fair few years to start up my business, in that time I carried on as a club DJ, and also wanting to learn more about the business, I also started working for a local sound and light hire company, and whilst in this role, this is where I learnt so much more about the hire business, I gave it a few more years before taking the plunge, but in February 2016, LSC Sound and Light Hire and Events was born.
